Academy of Art University New York Fashion Week: Print Collaboration RTW Spring 2011
A print of mine was selected to be part of a Print Collaboration for the Academy of Art University fashion show at New York Fashion Week Spring 2011. The print was inspired by whimsical Ghanaian coffins. I designed and silk screened it on black cotton fabric using the discharge technique.

Eco Citizen Boutique commissioned me and other fellow textile students at Academy of Art University to create one of a kind organic tote bags with our own original illustrations for Spring/Summer 2009. The tote bags were silk screened with eco friendly water based inks on 100% organic cotton and were sold at 79 Gallery, 79 New Montgomery Street, and at Eco Citizen Boutique, 1488 Vallejo Street in San Francisco.
Each bag had the following ‘Care Instructions’ statement – I am a one-of-a-kind creation made with love by an Academy of Art University Textile Design student. Only the most earth-friendly cotton and dyes were used to produce me. Fill me with groceries and picnics. The day when I become too threadbare to be worn, repurpose me into a print for your wall. The planet will thank you for creating art and not waste. As an added karmic boost, all profits go to the student scholarship fund.
